Sometimes the waters run rough,
While the river carves its course;
The streams can be gentle ripples,
Or rage with the rapid's force.
Sometimes there is a call to action,
Other times a call to rest,
But always – ALWAYS! -- we are required,
To put the spirits to test.
Arguments should not be formulated,
In the thrashing of the sea,
They should await the reserved calmness,
So as to disarm the enemy.
Every believer is so unique,
No two individuals think the same,
Patience must be sensibly employed,
Criticism should edify -- not maim.
Little can be accomplished in anger,
But mountains can be moved with love,
To achieve peace with the opposition,
You must follow the Guidance from Above!
We learn from our mistakes,
We apologize when we are in error,
The Body of Christ is so special,
In that it lifts opponents up in prayer.
Let us wisely keep the Watch,
Let us not compromise our conviction,
Passion and fervor serve a purpose,
But it should never create friction.
May God bring peace to His Children,
May their lives be forever blessed,
When Jesus finally Raptures us,
We’ll enjoy Still Waters in our Eternal Rest.
