Some more eye opening information re Hanukkah! It gets better and better. I have linked a video clip which drew my attention to Matthew 24:15 where Jesus is telling His disciples about the end of days. "When you see the Abomination that causes desolation.... let the reader understand", the narrator in the video clip points out that Jesus was referring us back to the abomination of desolation that occurred in 168 B.C. The date that the Maccabees cleansed the temple was Kislev 25.... December 13th in this year of 2017. The first day of Hanukkah !!! Our LORD Jesus was pointing to a future Hanukkah in Matthew 24:15. This was such a revelation to me. Reading through Matthew 24 and 25 again - with fresh eyes - was such a blessing. Notice in Matthew 24:3 where it is written that Jesus had left the Temple and was sitting on the Mount of Olives.... which is where He imparted the clues of the end of days. And the place where He will be when He returns. It's incredible to notice all the little nuances of words in scripture. How important each one is. I have linked the video clip below.
