       Football Season !  Yeah !   So, like everybody else, I'm watchin the game.  Doesn't
matter which one.  What struck me about the game was all the people in the stands.
Sixty Thousand of em.  It just hit me,  HE said "one in a thousand".  So I imagined 60
people scattered amongst ALL the people in the stands and tried to picture how few
they would be by contrast. If they had red blinking lights on their heads, you could get a sense of how FEW one in a thousand really is.  "few there be that find it"     
HEARING HIS VOICE is "finding it".  Who are the "many"?  They are ALL the rest of
them w/o a "light" shining from above them.  59,940 !  The "game" became irrelevant
due to an overwhelming sadness that came as a result of the graphic image of that
analogy. There were more peanut venders than those "hearing".  The WORD comes
by Hearing.  Hearing who?  Hearing HIM !  Of the 60M, how many listen to a "pastor"
every week?  A lot, maybe even a majority if you'd count all denominations.  And to
thin the numbers even more,  "Hearing" HIM is just half of the equation, OBEYING
HIM is the other half.  HE said "you call me Lord, Lord, but do NOT do as I ask"  In
other words, (you acknowledge ME as Lord but don't OBEY ME) that sounds like an
Inditement. The vast, vast, majority of Christians put in their "hour" then go home to
their everyday lives not giving HIM any more thought till next Sunday.  Weeping and
Gnashing ?  Gonna happen cuz HE SAID it would.  "Study to find yourself Approved"
Study ?   Yeah, Study the WORDS HE speaks to you and then OBEY them.  Then you
too can be Counted among HIS SHEEP.  I think it is interesting that a "degree" is oft
times referred to as a "sheepskin".  Probably some ironic meaning there, but I drift.
Knowing the consequences of NOT being one of HIS SHEEP,  why not join HIS FLOCK?
        SEEK HIS VOICE while there is still time.   Please !
