"November 8: Pray for the Persecuted Church"

Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. Hebrews 13:3

In the modern church calendar, the first two Sundays of November is set apart to remember and pray for the persecuted church, through the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP).

Today’s greatest untold story is that more than 100 million Christians worldwide face persecution for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Daily Christians in countries such as Eritrea, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Sudan and Sri Lanka face imprisonment, violence and even death.

IDOP is a time set apart for us to remember thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world who suffer persecution, simply because they confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

We invite you to explore the variety of resources on this website and hope you will join Christians worldwide in praying for persecuted Christians this November.

The IDOP.org website and resources are brought to you by the Religious Liberty Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance.

Please note that while Sunday, November 1, 2015, is the designated date for IDOP,  you are free to choose to pray on November 8, 2015 as well.
