Why the punishment of Hell is FOREVER!
Jesus answering said to them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, AND THE RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: NEITHER CAN THEY DIE ANY MORE: for they ARE EQUAL TO THE ANGELS; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. Luke 20:34-36
Once the dead (who do not know Jesus as Savior) are brought back to life for judgment - They cannot die again ! Therefore the sentence is forever. Serious thought needed here.
God has provided a way of escape from damnation through the flesh now in this earthly life. After physical death - there is no escape for those who ignore "His Way" of salvation.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
Jesus said; "I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
Jesus said; "And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice—the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live. The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life-giving power to his Son. And he has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man. Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment. John 5:24-29
