"Doctors to kill mentally ill"

John and Doves,

In the latest medical magazine ( they did not name the source) they are saying that doctors should be allowed to kill the mentally ill.

WORD SMITHS
They use the more euphemistic phrases like  "euthanize" and "assisted-suicide". Sounds so professional, doesn't it ?
And "ethics" sounds so morally righteous, when in actuality it is immoral.

Despite the 'newspeak' [ Book: "1984" ]  it is cold, heartless murder with the devious motive of eliminating those they deem undesirable. The Nazis called the mentally ill "useless eaters".

THE LIEUTENANT
Corrie Ten Boom--death camp survivor of World War Two-- relates in her famous book "The Hiding Place" a very interesting conversation she had with a German Nazi Lieutenant. During the time of her interrogation, he asked her the question: Why did she teach the" half-wits" ?

To which Corrie replied:
"The truth sir, is that God's viewpoint is sometimes different from ours--so different that we could not even guess at it unless He had given us a Book which tells us such things."

"In the Bible, I learn that God values us not for our strength or our brains, but simply because He has made us.
Who knows? In His eyes a "half-wit" may be worth more than a watchmaker ---- or a lieutenant".

Of course that ended their conversation. Yet the truth remains.

ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE
I had a sister who was totally devoid of mental capacity all of her 67 years. And I had a brother who was "slow" who lived 74 years.

Out of a large number of siblings, they remained the sweetest and most caring of all ( even with two medical doctors for their siblings.)
They taught me to respect all persons, not just those who make us 'look good'.  They reminded society to always have compassion, despite being prone to daily selfishness.

MINORITY REPORT
Remember the movie " Minority Report " ?
Who will be the one to categorize us as "mentally ill" ?  A disgruntled relative, co-worker, neighbor, "friend" ?
Note, the medical journal does not use the phrase "mentally disabled" or "mentally handicapped". They use the more generic term "ill".

Once you crown the wrong with unaccountability in society, you have the prince of this world reigning. God help us.
In Him,
