Mary, I whole-heartedly agree that much of the Church in America and the other progressive countries are "rich and in need of nothing", but I have heard of a powerful organic church movement in China that is under the radar, so to speak, that is making many converts and very likely actual disciples.  Evidently persecuted and desperate believers have the fertile soil to produce fruit.  Soon America may have similar circumstances, but until then it's busy-ness as usual.
