"Damah: Blood, Image, Man and Earth"

Jim posted 2 posts last week that were very neat, and more connected than most people realize.  So I thought I would add something to that.

_________________________
דם = Dam = blood.

As explained in the book "Creative Forces", This is composed of two Hebrew letters with specific meaning.

  • ד = DALET = symbol of transformation
  • ם = MEM = symbol of flow

 Thus in Hebrew, blood is described as a transforming flow.  Scientifically, that is what it does.  It carries oxygen to various parts of the body, which is the chemical ingredient needed in almost every chemical reaction the body experiences.  Blood flows through the body and transforms it and without it, the body has no life.  When this word enterred the Hebrew vocabulary, no one knew that.  Today we do.

דמה = Damah = likeness, compare This word starts with the same two letters as the word for "blood", DALET and MEM.  MEM is written slightly different at the end of a word as it is in the middle.  But there is a new letter added, the letter HEY (ה).  It is a symbols of separation, being set apart, or something created from nothing.  A likeness flows from a source, but is seperate from it, so the word for "Likeness" means what the sum of its individual letters mean.  Every word in the Hebrew language is like this; its meaning comes from the meaning of the individual letters, something explained in detail in "Creative Forces"
אדם = Adam = man.

This is the word for "man", who was made in the likeness of G-d / Elohim.  Alef (א) is used to symbolize the ultimate source of something, and God is the ultimate source of everything.  Man was made in the likeness of that ultimate source.

There's record in Jewish writings that earlier Messianic Jews pointed out that this letter was a Trinity.  It is composed of 3 Hebrew letters.  a VAV (ו), a YUD (י) and yet another YUD (י) written upside down.

אדמה = Adamah = ground, soil, earth Man (אדם) was made from the ground (אדמה).  In Hebrew, you can visually see that in the spelling.  And you can make the Hebrew word "man" from the Hebrew word "ground" by simply deleting the last letter HEY (ה).   The ground is the source [there's Alef (א)] from which all food and much life flows and grows out of [there's DALET (ד) and MEM (מ)].  Man seperates [there's the HEY (ה)] that food from the ground to eat it.

Hebrew is more than just a language.  It is the language of creation, and you can learn to understand more about how God created our Universe from HEY (ה) understanding how each letter contributes to the meaning of each word.  See http://www.messiahalive.com/cforcesad.htm for more info.

Shalom,

Joe
