Hi Mathman, I believe that neither of the numbers six or eighteen are associated with the number of the beast.

6+6+6 is not the number of the beast's name, 600+60+6 is.

Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
