I’m not a big advocate of Nostradamus. I don’t believe he was a prophet but I believe he understood the bible enough to write this Quatrain. Here’s my interpretation on this from a biblical perspective.“The year of the great seventh number accomplished”In the book of Daniel 9:24 : Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.The word ‘sevens’ refers to seven cycles of Shemita (Shemita are sabbatical years – every 7th year). So, seven cycles of Shemita would be 49 years. So “Seventy ‘sevens’ would be 70 x 49 years = 3,430 years. In the book of Leviticus 25:8 And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.So, “3,430 years are decreed for your people….” ‘your people’ refers to the Jewish people since Daniel was a Jewish prophet and ‘your holy city’ would refer to Jerusalem. So the Jewish people will have 3,430 years in Jerusalem to ‘finish transgression’ towards God. The clock started when God brought them out of the desert to the land of Canaan. The year was 1416 BC which was the first year of the 1st group of 49 years. 1416 BC plus 3,430 years brings us to the year 2015 since there is no year zero.On the Jewish calendar, the year begins on Rosh Hashanah or the first of Tishrei. In the year 2015, Tishrei 1st falls on September 13th which is a Sunday which is a weekly Sabbath for the Christian Church.So….. next year on September 13th, 2015, it will be a 7th day Sabbath, it will be the end of a seven year cycle (Sabbath), it will be the end of a 49 (7x7) year cycle(Sabbath) and it will be the end of the 70th 49 year cycle(Sabbath). The year of the great seventh number accomplished!“It will appear at the time of the games of slaughter”I will speculate at the end of this on what I believe “It” could reference. But, “At the time of the games of slaughter” refers to the time of year or season this will all happen. Games of slaughter to me simply means hunting season when many people slaughter animals as a game or sport. May or may not be this, but I think “It” will appear in the Fall. September 13th is in the Fall.“Not far from the great millennial age”This is the age of 1,000 years Christ will reign on Earth.Apostle John’s vision from the book of Revelation 20:4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years (millennial Sabbath).“When the buried will go out from their tombs”This is a reference to the rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ.The apostle Paul wrote in the Bible1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
So my opinion is that “It” refers to the rapture of the Church and/or the arrival of the anti-Christ, the start of the Great Tribulation – not far from the great millennial age.
