The first of Hanukkah Days according to the Hillel calendar will be 12-16 in 2014. That evening, 2 candle lights will be lit on a hanukkiah. First lit will be the servant lamp (representing the Messiah of Israel) and then light 2 is lit to represent Day 1. In The Scriptures, 2 is a number to symbolize division, or separation. There are 8 nights (a premiere Noah number) to light the lights, the candles, the lamps. The pattern is the same since the servant lamp is always lit first. Symbolically speaking, the Messiah first, then each additional light is lit. One more is added, not deleted, each night of Hanukkah. It is the way of Rabbi Hillel, who was alive some of the same years as the Messiah. On night 8, the concluding night, all of the 9 lights/candles/lamps are lit. It is a wonder to behold. Very lovely.
What about the 6 day period from 12-16 to 21, from Hanukkah Day 1 beginning around sundown until the Winter Solstice, for those north of the equator, like Israel? What is the cause for concern during those 6 days? The worst SOLAR STORM in 250 years may occur. This would last about 216 hours and block 90% of the light from the sun reaching Planet Earth. Will the power grid be globally damaged?
So, from 11-2 to 3 at Cheshvan 10 until 12-23 to 24 with the conclusion of Hanukkah, we see a highlighting of 2 periods of 8 days each. The earlier would be the Days of Noah from Cheshvan 10 to 17 and the later from Hanukkah Day 1 beginning the evening of 12-16 until the grand finale of Day 8 from 12-23 to 24. Is it a coincidence that Hanukkah begins the day the SOLAR STORM is expected to begin? The Festival of Lights (Hanukkah) would begin as the intense global DARKNESS begins. What a contrast. Spiritual lights would be lit all over the world as the literal global darkness intensifies!
Another significant concept of the Days of Noah is the number 40. There were 120 years to prepare. What is 120? It is 3 times 40. Also there were 40 days of ever worsening rain, deluge, flooding, and tumult. Day 1 of the 40 began on Cheshvan 17. This year Cheshvan 17 is 11-9 to 10. Then is 11-11 (Day portion of Day 1 of 40) as the 40 days go to 12-19 to 20. Day 40 will be at the ending of THE THIRD DAY of global Darkness since the onset on 12-16 of Hanukkah Day 1! Are we going to be given a final 40 day period to repent as did those preached to by Jonah at Ninevah? Are these details and links meant to be meaningful for us? I wonder.
Hanukkah 2014 may be a festive season for The Festival of Lights to unfold upon an eerie and much darkened planet! Those spiritual lights would shine in great literal darkness, brighter than ever before. Add your oil of preparation and trim your wicks, the Bridegroom comes? Remember that the first months for new olives and olive oil for the lamps would be days of Cheshvan and Kislev.
When do some believe the Messiah was conceived? A good case came be made from the Torah that His First Advent was at conception, earlier than birth. That is when He became flesh and dwelt among humankind. He truly arrived to save us at His conception. This fact teaches us lessons about the value of each life in the womb. Valuable at birth? At conception? Look to commandments in the Torah to find answers from Abba Father and His Son about the value of each life in the womb. What would seem to be the great day to remember: the great anniversary of conception as truly when The WORD MADE FLESH, the Redeemer of humankind? Remember Cheshvan 10 this year on 11-2 to 3? Who was considering voting for candidates believing more in the right to life than the right to terminate? Valuable life at conception as well as at birth? What do Abba Father and Christ believe? Christ will judge us. Pray to be of the First Resurrection.
Hanukkah is symbolic of the spiritual victories of Abba Father, His Torah spiritual light ways and the family Maccabee and their followers over the Greek paganism of Antiochus Epiphanes IV and his evil ilk from 70 to 68 B.C.
If The Blessed Hope is delayed past Cheshvan 17 in 2014, Days 1-8 in Hanukkah may be the season. The Festival of Light Days are not only about and for the 12 tribes of the members of the House of Israel in ages long past and gone and now. The events for taking back and reestablishing and consecration to the Torah spiritual light covenants and mitzvoh, were FOUNDATIONAL and NECESSARY to PREPARE THE WAY for the FIRST ADVENT, of His conception then birth, of the Messiah of Israel. Blessed be Christ the Savior and Lord and Bridegroom and Judge. Blessed is He, who comes in the name of the Lord. Our Immanuel!
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
