Dearest Rene...I too have had this condition for forty years. Knowledge of it led me to salvation. I too have asked that same question. I too became "labeled" by friends and family. One of my "occupations" in life was analysis as it pertains to social demographics, attitudes, especially evaluating individual personality types. It's true we are all unique as the Lord LOVES diversity. But everyone fits a category. And A LOT could be said about what makes a person think and behave in this or that way.So...when I dealt with this (your) very question I just observed and thought about it for some time. It didn't take long to see the answer...at least in it's most general application. And here it is;As it concerns a true believer, eagerness for the rapture is in direct proportion to one's personal happiness. And this is determined by the Lord before we are born. If one has a life outlook that is more accepting of the "status quo" (the way things are) and they are relatively satisfied with their life in general they will focus more on what they will do with their faith to serve the Lord here and now. Sing in the choir, so to speak, find involvement that serves the Lord. As they mature they will seek the Lord's guidance as to how they will serve. Many just coast along growing slowly and living their lives with their loved ones and other interests. They are generally more "down to earth" types. They know about the rapture but it is too "other worldly" and these are people who can't conceive of "altered states". They didn't watch shows like "Twilight Zone" and other "outside the box" entertainment. They're saved, they Love God, and pray and grow. Some begin missions and great works of service as the Lord leads. (Sadly of course many fall away, and/or are deceived/mislead by false teaching or doctrine.)So...we watchers were cut from different cloth (if you will). Remember God loves diversity and He has made us each according to His "Master Plan". Generally we don't see the world with rose colored glasses. We have always felt out of place here. We are not (per se') happy here, though we honestly try. We CAN imagine the perfect JOY and HAPPY EVER AFTER that God has promised. Once we know of it, we cling to that promise until our palms (hearts) bleed. We are generally sensitive and deep types. We are the ones who "groan in travail for the revealing of the son's of God". We study hard (which is good) to discover where we are in time. We become die hard "eschatologists" a very complex subject. We are good witnesses knowing the time is short (even thirty years ago). And ALWAYS ready to speak about the nearness of the RAPTURE...(or we not) =)It's our NATURE Rene. It's how we're made. The Kingdom will be diverse. BUT...keep in mind because being made this way we suffer differently...so much so there is a special crown for us. The Watchers Crown. For those who LOVE His appearing!Praise God! Our wait is over...! We're so close now I can feel the sin within me getting really nervous... =)GBY! YBIC Shan Cosner
