I frequently look at this earthquake monitor:
Normally, most of the earthquakes are in the Ring of Fire (Pacific basin region)., and they still are, but:
I have never seen it look like this before, though. I see many more earthquakes along the world’s ocean ridges and regions which are the tectonic plate boundaries on the ocean floor. These are shown on the map as purple lines. Just place your cursor over one of the circles, it tells you the magnitude and date of the quake.
