Dear Doves,

I have debated with myself whether to even send in this letter. One of the things I love about this forum is that we are not solicited 24/7 for this or that cause….

Like everyone else, I’m sending up prayers for the Philippines. May God take them in His hands and give them everything they need to get through this tragedy. The reports on TV of this disaster are truly heartbreaking. I don’t have any connection there, no friends or relatives or religious affiliations in that country, in fact, nothing at all.

I know the economy is awful….but if you possibly could donate some money for their relief, and haven’t already done so…right now would be a really good time to do it. I always use The Salvation Army and have found them to be reliable and trustworthy over the years. One hundred percent of donations go to disaster relief operations and not their own personal salaries.

Or, you can use whichever charity you like that you know and trust.

The Philippines is an 85% Christian nation. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ….I don’t see how we can turn our faces away from them.

I know you will do whatever you can.

And please continue to pray for them!
