If ISON is a flop, is it still a sign, I mean, to the whole world? Regardless of the outcome, it could very well be a sign to the watching Christians, since the Lord says in numerous places in the Bible to "watch." Those not watching will miss it, of course.  However, if ISON becomes brilliant, it will appear as a giant flaming sword leaving the sun blade first that everyone will see. Judgment/tribulation?

That would be an amazing event in unison with the tetrad of eclipses coming up.
