"TH re rapture scenarios, gathering friends"

interesting letter TH. I know of other examples of God telling his people to leave certain areas before destruction, it has happened many times before.
But to me that seems like a situation before the rapture, a safe place temporarily. When the rapture happens it really doesn't matter where you are. We have discussed this type of thing here also.

Now Jesus is coming for a bride, we know that. But to categorize ones that arrive in heaven later or prior to the rapture as not being part of the bride I think is mistaken. I figure if you make it to heaven, the promise to be together forever as part of the family of God, to me that is being the bride.

And as far as Jesus coming for his friends, that is true.
However, there are true friends and their are fair weather friends.
There are those who profess Christ but run in times of trouble.
Then there are those who will stick with Him no matter what.
Recall what Paul has said about those who stuck with him while he was in chains and those who abandoned him.

I saw the thread you started at the other place.
It is nice to be able to discuss this thing logically and not let our opinions be dependent on an emotional response.
Like it says in Romans 11, consider the goodness and the harshness of the Lord so that we do not get puffed up.
