"Rowina re KJV , also the new tolerance issue"

John
I think the KJV is excellent, but I find it hard in places to explain to others what it means because of outdated terms, even though there have been revisions. In the medical profession we have to be careful when we use our medical lingo, we have to remember that they might not know what we are talking about. With my wife, English is second language, and my kids, I often had to reword many scriptures so they could understand what the bible was saying, kind of like how the amplified bible does.

I shared the post about what the authors of the King James in their introduction had to say to show their humility.
Unfortunately some of the KJV only crowd don't have that, it is almost like a cult that has no problem slandering other translators and taking things out of context. I am not saying that there are some bad translations.
I shared what I did to show that the original translators did not act that way towards those who proceeded them.

Now what was shared about the Puritans and their battle with King James is true. King James did a wonderful thing when he had the bible translated in a language the common people could understand, and then made it available to everyone.
Even though some of his motives where not so good, it was still quite a blessing.
I believe King James also struggled with homosexuality too, which is currently a pretty terrible situation pushed on us by a term that has been twisted 'tolerance'

Really,  the making the Bible available was by our our God.
That is the one we really need to thank
