I was thinking about ISON being in the north eastern sky and it reminded me of the scripture:

Psalms 48:2

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

 

Is it possible that ISON could be ZION ?????
