"Zombies"

Over the last decade at least there's been a flood of occult products for mass consumption.

Movies, TV shows and books about ghosts.  The cable networks are glutted with ghost hunters.
Movies, TV shows and books about witches and wizards.  Harry Potter ushered in a tsunami of magic.
Movies, TV shows and books about vampires and werewolves.  Twilight capitalized on the craze.

The latest wave seems to be all about zombies. The latest Brad Pitt movie was World War Z and there's at least one prime time TV show devoted to the undead.  I bet there will be more than a few kids showing up at your door dressed as gory zombies.  Real cute.

This fascination with zombies reminds me of the following passage.

Rev. 9:  5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

This has to be one of the strangest passages in the Bible.  It sounds like transhuman experiments gone horribly wrong.  The people here are described as being tortured and in agonizing pain, but unable to die.  It will be a nightmare that they can't wake up from.

Theres no halloween in Heaven.
