I certainly agree that it's very very possible that healthcare will be the mass event that gets people to take the mark.

I do see though that the mark of the beast is already here in part.  Think about your social security number and your driver's license.  Think about how far you could get in society without those two.  Pretty much zilch!  There have also been laws passed which come from the pit of hell.  Almost pretty much is in place for the final coup de grace of our freedoms.

The devil has been preparing for this day for a long time, one hack here or there for several centuries since the formation of the Constitution, and one link in the chain of slavery here or there-- it has happened so slowly that most of our american ancestors and us barely noticed until the last decade or so.

More recently though, new changes I have seen in the march to strip us of physical possession of money or other paper trails (and desensitizing people to the use of their hands for electronic transactions) are:
1.  Many banks aren't using deposit slips anymore
2.  Just in the last month:  the use of camera phones to deposit your checks
3.  ISIS mobile wallet started just in the last 2 weeks or so

4.  Also there are new small devices which you can plug into your USB port on your cell phone, and this way you can take credit/debit cards with your cell phone (if you are selling a product or service).  SQUARE is one such device that I know of.  They bait people with making the software and device free (small percentage cut though goes to Square).

Once they have proverbial control over all our finances and "benefits" then people will have to give full public sway to worship the Beast, or else...
