"I Cor 10:31 re: a small thing"

Dear I Cor 10:31,

I very much identify with what you have written.  The devil is in many people these days, and some of them...are neighbors.

I would say that the vast majority of neighbors I have had over the years were very good people.  Yet, there are a couple, who are so evil that they seem to take away from the good ones all around us.

I had a next door neighbor about 15 years ago, who spoke to me from her front lawn.  She was irate that a couple drops of water from my sprinkler made its way onto her lawn.  It was nothing really, only a couple drops, nothing more.  She started to curse me over it, so I turned and walked away from her demonic cursing, back into my house.  A very strange thing happened:  as soon as I got back into my house I saw that everything turned dark outside and it began to rain in torrents!  Her house was deluged from God above!  This is our God in action...

Today, I have another next door neighbor (we are in a different location now), who also turned against us even though we have been so good to her for several years.  We felt sorry for her because she is a widow, her house burned down, she's on welfare and renting the little place next door, etc...she made us feel very sorry for her situation.  Oddly, she has 4 grown children who want nothing to do with her, which I have found strange to say the least.  She never said a kind word about anyone, and I always wondered as if she were doing the same to us, behind our backs.  To make a long story short, she turned against us for no reason....I think she is just demonically possessed.  She claimed to be a Christian, but once let it slip that she would like to talk to a "witch".  So, we apparently have nothing in common with her, other than trying to be good to a poor next door neighbor.  That is now over and done with.

What I am trying to say is, we must be extremely careful of whom we befriend and try to help.  Not everyone is a good, decent person.  We are in the last days, and sad to say...things are going to get much more dreadful and vile than they are now.

Chin up, and I am praying for you.  Put on the full armor of God, and have confidence in His strength....He will protect you.

Blessings,

Patty RP
