Dear _______,
Yes, it is a very sad day with this
news. But remember something,
________: the Bible tells us that GOD
HIMSELF puts men in power and GOD
HIMSELF who removes them. We
think we vote people in, but in
actuality we can only pray to God for
OUR CHOICE. But God knows his plans,
and despite what we try to make
happen, there is always His
sovereignty over everything.
Remember the time Jesus was in
agony in the Garden? He prayed
so hard His tears were like
blood! And what was He praying
about? The fact that He would
soon face crucifixion. The
“human” man-part of Him could never
have
allowed him to face that horrible a
death. So He prayed, “Father,
all things are possible with
you. Let this cup pass from
me. NEVERTHELESS, not my will,
but Thine be done”. He submitted
Himself to be the sacrificial lamb for
all of mankind’s sins. AND THEN WITH
JOY HE ENDURED THE CROSS.
_________, the reason I always felt
Obama would win was because of the
judgment of God on this sinful
generation.
It is so difficult to find the
righteous anymore....things have
become so wicked, that we are now
heading for the
Great Tribulation which will affect
everyone on this planet.
Consider this:
One day a few years ago, I was
preaching in a church here in the
States. We had had some good
meetings, and when I arrived early at
the church, the pastor and I were
behind the pulpit talking when a
taxicab stopped right outside the
door, which happened to be open.
I saw this black lady jump out of
the cab and she ran into the
church. She had a hospital
bracelet on her wrist, so
I said to her, “I see you must have
just gotten out of the hospital.
You’ve come to the right place, dear,
as we will
be so happy to pray for God to heal
you.” How shocked we were when
she replied, “I don’t want you to pray
for
my healing. I want you to
pray I can get onto disability.
I am tired of working!” I
rebuked her for that. “How dare you to
tempt God like that!” She ran out of
the building and literally almost tore
the wooden doors off their hinges!”
That, dear, is the kind of people
and kind of mentality that has put
Obama into power. They want the
government
to give them benefits. Not
want (as President Kennedy said in his
speech) to ask what we can do for
their country, but what their country
can do for them.
Now we all prayed. I
prayed. You and _____
prayed. But in so praying, we
must be willing to realize that God’s
will
is what is important, nor ours.
Remember the prophet Jeremiah? He
preached and preached, prayed and
prayed. But the people did not
want to listen. The same with
Noah and his ark. The same with
Lot there in Sodom.
I am thinking that the rapture is
going to happen VERY, VERY SOON. So
few of us will be ready, and certainly
our Lord knows our concerns. But
we must look up and praise our
Lord. Don’t be discouraged,
dears. He will take care of all
the situations and bring us to
Himself. We have not been
appointed unto wrath, but we must be
stronger and make
our calling and election sure for
that Day we so long for.
Times will be harder each and every
day, and we must endure them.
But the important thing is for us
never to murmur or complain or get
discouraged. This is still a
corrupt, wicked world. God has
to bring His plans to create a new
heaven and a new earth and the former
must pass away. Our part is to
have our lamps trimmed and burning
and to be a Light in all this
darkness.
