Dear Marie:

Last evening I went to bed knowing what the results of the election would be.  I too am scared.   As in the book RUN, is it we who get selected to be killed.  I read yesterday that in Baltimore, Maryland they are now listening to peoples conversation on public buses.

This morning I sat and tried to find an answer that would make some sense of all of what is happening, some avenue that we could travel to make things right again.  There is no avenue for bringing back what we know as Christians to be right.  Scared?    People have begun to shoot at each other here.  Signs reading " YOU LOOT, WE SHOOT, END OF SENTENCE. " Yes, I am scared.
 
Yesterday my own sister voted for Obama and stated to me, over the phone, that she supported gay marriage.  When I asked what about God and all the bible teaches?  She answered that people find the answers of how to live in this world.  My own sister who prays every night now has crossed over to a belief that will separate us.  I could feel her mocking me in the silence before she hung up.

I can see that all of us who believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life are going to become more and more isolated.  We all need each other more now than ever and I thank John for what he has given to us through 5Dove.
