"Imminent return vs.
future planning"
I believe that we are in the VERY last days. And...
I work in finance for my church. I help develop the yearly
budget. We are finalizing the numbers for our 2013 budget,
to be implemented in January. I believe that we (or at
least many of us) might not be here to vote on this budget
proposal, let alone to actually implement it...but that does not
prevent me from giving my best effort to deliver a good product
to our congregation...
As for my personal life, I have done some short-term and
long-term planning, as well. I have a current
budget. I also have made projections based upon my
investment strategies. None of that may actually pan out,
depending upon the unknown future economy, but if I'm raptured,
I won't care.
Yes, I participate in future planning, not only in my church,
but also in my personal life...knowing that time is short.
Frankly, I think this honors God...as long as I am following
biblical principles as I live my everyday life.
In short, I can be a watcher, anticipating my redemption, even
as I plan for a future here on earth. Yes, I can do
both...all the while, being squarely in the center of God's
will.
