Isaiah 17:1  Behold, Damascus shall cease to be a city and shall become as a ruinous heap of stones.

Things are accelerating towards the fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1 right now, and if Assad's government should fall to extremists who seek Israel's destruction, which it appears it soon may, then Israel may unwittingly be forced into fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy regarding the total destruction of Damascus.......?
