"Re: Mary Haas"

Yes, I also listened to this same broadcast. And  I was not familiar with any of the guests belief (regarding the rapture) who were speaking. But generally, I don't get to offended. So up to the point where the topic turned to the "word" he had received; it was a captivating broadcast. I was certainly taken aback by his "word" from the Lord regarding all those who are deceiving others with the pre-trib teaching. I almost thought I was hearing him wrong! But as I kept listening to this "word" he received, I became VERY downcast in my spirit due to how chastening it was! Like you, I couldn't listen to the rest of the broadcast after that.
This brought me to tears, only because of the accusation that all those who hold the Pre-trib view would be going against the will of the Lord by believing this, and would therefore have to answer to God for propagating this lie!
This actually caused me to doubt many things that the Lord had told me and others as well. I prayed and asked the Lord, "Lord, how is it that those who love you and live righteous lives, can receive such opposing words from the Holy Spirit?" I compared this to a child who had one parent telling him he's leaving and won't be back till spring, and the other parent saying, No, that's a lie, they won't be back for years! Who's right and who's wrong-when you have always thought that neither would lie to you because they both love you and wouldn't want to hurt you??!!
The Body of Christ should love one another enough not to do anything to bring such railing accusations against each other about the Rapture timing (that in my opinion is not a salvation issue) because this certainly could cause anguish and pain by saying, "You're damned to Hell for holding on to a lie!" I am always filled with doubt after hearing things like this. It is like ripping the spirit of hope out of those who have heard and seen confirmations from God to the contrary!
