"RE: Kenn: 11.15.12; FiveDoves: the restrainer"

Kenn,

Although he is omnipresent, because he is the LORD, the Son of God still came in a special ministry to the earth. That special ministry of the Son of God began with the conception in Mary’s womb (Luke 1:35). That special ministry of the Son of God ended when he was taken back up into heaven (Acts 1:9-11). During that entire special ministry, he never ceased to be the LORD, so he never ceased to be omnipresent, but that special ministry was with a body here on the earth. In a similar fashion, the Holy Ghost, who is omnipresent, because he is the LORD, still came in a special ministry to the earth. That special ministry of the Holy Ghost began at Pentecost. That special ministry of the Holy Ghost is also with a body on earth, in this case it is the church, the body of Christ. That special ministry of the Holy Ghost on earth in the body of Christ will also end when he takes the body of Christ up at the blessed hope. Simply because he is present in the church, and within each believer, never once does he cease to be the LORD, and never once does he cease to be omnipresent. The omnipresence of the Holy Ghost was the same before his special ministry on earth in the body of Christ, as it is during this time that he is here in the church now, as it will be after the blessed hope, he will always be omnipresent.

It is in that special ministry on earth in the body of Christ, that the Holy Ghost does special things. He gives us gifts severally as he will, he teaches us from the scriptures, and he reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He does that via the word of God (which he inspired) and the church (in which he dwells in a special way). Also, in like manner, he is restraining, again via the word of God and the church. So when that special ministry is completed at the blessed hope, so also will be those special ways that he operates in that special ministry, and in the case of the topic in question, the special restraining that he now does. After the blessed hope, he will continue to work in the world and with people, like he did in the old testament.
