"RE: Rene: 11.13.12: FiveDoves: X marks the spot"

Rene,

Would I be correct to assume that you may have been inferring, “X marks the spot”, in your recent letter, "The X Generation and the Mark of the Beast"?

Deuteronomy 32:5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

The spot sets them apart as children of another father (John 8:44)

Jude 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

The spot indicates death & doom

Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

If the leopard cannot change a spot, what about these children of another father, can they?

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

It ties in the spot of the leopard to the 1st beast, the antichrist, whose mark the 2nd beast requires everyone to receive.

So does the spot relate to the mark? What was the mark of Cain?

The church does not take the mark & the church has no spot:

Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

no spot

Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

The Shulamite, a prophetic picture of the bride of Christ, with no spot

Song of Solomon 2:10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

She is to rise up and “come away” with her beloved

She won’t be here for the mark, yet there will also be those who go through the tribulation, who do not take the mark, and are killed because of it

So, does “X mark the spot”, maybe so & maybe generation X is the generation that will take the mark
