"Mike P.....right on!"

Amen Mike, the Lord is the Lord of the Sabbath and he arose on the Sabbath.

As the risen Lord, He then took his office as High Priest and fulfilled the next ceremony that is required of Jehovah God....he presented The First Fruit (Himself) unto the Father.  That is what he did during that period of time He told Mary not to touch Him because He had not gone to the Father yet and when He invited Thomas to touch Him.  Anyone doubt that; then ask yourself what He meant by that remark?

John 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father , and your Father: and to my God, and your God."

So, doesn't it make it very clear that Jesus arose on the Sabbath and when Mary came right after the Sabbath (after 6 PM when the next Jewish Day begins) and it was still dark, Jesus Christ appeared to her.  This is a clear testimony to all of us that He was going unto the Father to present HIMSELF, the First Fruit.

Bottom line, Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead on the Sunday but presented Himself Unto the Father on the Final Day of Passover, fulfilling all that needed to be done.
