"New York City is down for the count"
New York City is a Microcosm of the United States of America.
mi·cro·cosm:a little world; a world in miniature
Sandy leaves NYC subway system, infrastructure licking its wounds; residents without power and much needed gasoline.
New York City is also the financial capital of the U.S., home to the NYSE and NASDAQ, which is an American stock exchange. NASDAQ is also Tech-heavy, as in Silicon Valley California. In April I posted about this-
It's the 'timing of transition' shifting more power to the UK, the 'Seat of the Beast,'And the rising popularity of the Pottermore Website is included. The U.S. has enjoyed the dominance of Websites like 'Facebook', 'Google', 'Amazon' and many others.
Their headquarters are all West Coast, the ones outside California are still up the Coast.
Thousands of high technology companies are headquartered in Silicon Valley.
A dramatic series of events are going to take place. Unfortunately the West Coast will be under the gun.
I've posted this before-Tokyo Japan is one of the three world finance "command centers", along with New York City and London.Nov 7th, 2012 More government support needed as Fukushima costs soar. The costs of compensation and decontamination of the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster could double to 10 trillion yen ($124.55 billion dollars).Hurricane Sandy to Cost $50 billion in damages and economic losses and that does not include the added financial losses of the Nor'easter that followed.Nov 8th, 2012 The second headache: Insurance experts say the nor'easter winter snowstorm that followed Hurricane Sandy will only complicate what was already going to be a difficult and prolonged negotiation between commercial policy holders and insurance companies over what was covered, when and for how long.
