It is easy to reconcile the two I believe.  I don't know for sure who is the Anti-Christ but whoever it is, the only god he will recognize is himself.  Any association with any other religion will be simply for convenience.  Notice for example how he says he is Christian but is always giving honor and lip service to Islam.  I believe he neither but using whatever religion will give him for power for the moment.
