This will be a very simple sort of theorem that I've put together using some ideas I found online and scripture attempting to show the fundamental nature and need for simple and pure WORSHIP, one on one with God the Father, Yahweh.
The Psalms of David are perfect for this mainly because they have already been "ordained" by God and have His OK. Most of what we use as WORSHIP is actually exiting fellowship with one another. The simple and direct approach of the Psalms coupled with their humble and broken-hearted nature is precisely what God deems appropriate in WORSHIP from a "man after HIS own heart". There are probably infinite number of ways to WORSHIP God the Father, however, only the Holy Spirit can guide you into what is appropriate for your intimacy with Yahweh....anything else would be like Cain's offering, or the "strange fire" of Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron.
I would suggest sticking to what we know God's heart already desires....I had to be shown this through much prayer and set-apart suffering in the Spirit. But, God Himself will provide a way for you to WORSHIP Him in Spirit and in Truth....no need to come up with "new methods"
So. here's my little formula based on scriptures:
Hebrew 1:9 and Psalm 45:7 tells us
EXACTLY what the OIL is that we use
to Shine withing the lamps of our hearts....
our anointing
(by way of Christ Jesus)
is
the oil of gladness
(happiness/rejoicing)
This is the oil that fills our lamps and
can only be purchased by sacrifices of
thanksgiving...
WORSHIP
SO,
The DNA of joy is gratitude.
Study in Spirit and in Truth the first four chapters of Hebrews and you too will see, this was Christ's method and "modus operandi" unto His Fathers declaration that "in Him HE was well pleased".
Christ Jesus rejoiced in His Father' will no matter what it brought to his life...weather he was performing miracles or hanging bloody and beaten from a cross, Jesus had FAITH that His Fathers perfect will was ALL HE CAME HERE TO DO...and he WORSHIPED Yahweh by this FAITHFULNESS!
Faithfulness that God the Father will not let anything happen to His children that is not according to His plan and will, EVER!
And that is WORSHIP, Rejoicing in doing His will, even if it hurts.
Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
