John and all the Doves,
   This is one of the basic principles of a "walk with Christ" and one to which none of the modern day congregations acknowledge or aspire. That afflictions and discipline are a primary aspect of our part in the "Body of Christ". Chastening and disciplines will be a very real aspect of the truly FAITHFUL Son's of God.

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and whips every son whom He receives.
Heb 12:7  If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not discipline?
Heb 12:8  But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

  So, with that in mind, those that endure their portion of the sufferings of Christ which are left yet unfulfilled(Col. 1:24), will be enduring, day by day, their afflictions, need not undergo further trials by Tribulum. Christ' "Body" is set for death and tribulation(Acts 14:22). But, for those that willingly and knowingly "die-to-self" day by day, there is a "Blessed Hope" of escaping all these things and standing before the Son of Man worthily. This can only be done through FAITH...and like Job accepting ones position of affliction by saying over and over within the Spirit of Truth, "though He may slay me, yet will I trust Him".
  There are two raptures...first the Harpazo, then the Paralombano...the first is a complete and total mystery and cannot be chronologically understood in advance, and so said Christ. The second can be known in advance when the first, along with its sudden destruction transpires. But there will be tribulations and trials and all of us who aspire to the Kingdom of Christ will be chastened.
   So, look around. If you are not experiencing affliction and reproaches. If all of your biological family are loving and kind to you, and the world of men is your friend, if your Daddy is not whipping you either physically, emotionally, psychologically, metaphorically or otherwise,then perhaps you are not among the Sons of the living God, Yahweh and walking with His son Yeshuah.
