"To Rene: ALL ABOARD"

I love the example of the thief on the cross.  Intelectually, he had every reason to reject Jesus as he saw the Lord hanging on the cross. What could his eyes see but another man about to die.  Instead his heart accepted Jesus.  Instead he simply had the faith and trust of a little child and merely placed his confidence and trust in Jesus.  What a beautiful picture.

The word pistis conveys something that comes from the heart.  The kind of trust that keeps you on the path no matter what the obstacles and circumstances are.  Strong's definition of pistis brings to light that head knowledge of Jesus is inadequate... that conviction of the heart is everything.

I would rather have the faith of the thief on the cross than all the degrees from all the universities.

Bless you Rene.
