"Exegesis can be the rabbit hole of “bible correction.”"

Exegesis can be the rabbit hole of “bible correction.”

When properly used, Exegesis is “the process of careful analytical
study of the Bible to produce useful interpretations of those
passages.”

All too often, however, exegesis is used to alter the clear plain
meaning of a chapter. Pretty much all false doctrine is enabled,
caused and created my misuse of this process.

One of the most famous misuses of this exegesis is the adulteration
of Job chs 40&41. All of the commentaries I can find say that the
dragon is Lucifer/ Satan. However, the casual reader can clearly see
through the chapters context that God is showing the reader a dinosaur
lounging in a swamp. This great lizard has a massive tail, scales, and
gets mad if people try to poke him with sticks to kill and eat him!
😊> It’s painfully obvious!

Yet, ever bible scholar tries to bring in verses from literally
everywhere else to “show” how this really annoyed lizard is Satan,
creating a whole cottage industry of misuse of scripture! Now to be
fair, the lizard can be used as an analogy of Satan. However, every
single one of them gets it backwards, saying Satan is an analogy of a
lizard! 😊>

My dear beloved former pastor insists that the seals, trumpet and
bowl judgments in revelation are not sequential, (first the seals a
pause then the trumps, another pause, then the bowls) but are
concurrent … all happen jumbled together at the same time--according
to exegesis!

In reality, God in His mercy, gives mankind time to repent between
ever increasing judgements! That is obvious according to plain text
context! But NO, the scholars have to teach something else!

May I really annoy most of the scholars now? Pretty please? If I
haven’t already? >

In Genesis 1:1 God says “I created everything.” Then beginning in
1:2 God starts explaining how He did it! Obvious, right? Of course!
But, then these “experts” come along and have created a whole cottage
industry to shoehorn a previous earth creation in between those two
verses! A creation where Satan rules a previous Earth for 5000 years,
ending in his rebellion and destruction of that creation, so that in
Genesis 1:2, God has to start all over again creating this present
Earth and universe!

Once you start going down this exegesis rabbit hole, it gets really
deeper and deeper! Likewise, don’t even get me started about this
going back to the Greek and Hebrew! God preserved His Word in the King
James Bible just like He said He would! Let’s just please allow the
plain context of scripture to speak for itself!!!
