If
the hardline
regime in Iran
was changed so
that the next
leader wanted
peace with
Israel and it
allowed them to
build their
third temple in
Jerusalem, it
would then be a
time of peace
with the
Israelites
dwelling
securely and
safely in the
land just prior
to the Gog-Magog
war in the Ez.
38-39 if that's
when it is to
take
place.
However, if the
Antichrist and
the armies of
the countries of
Turkey, Iran,
Egypt &
Ethiopia then
came down to
take a spoil
from Israel, the
Antichrist would
have no temple
to sit himself
and show himself
that he is God
(2 Thess.
2:3-4)
because all the
walls fall down
from a great
earthquake (Ez.
38:20) which
would include
the Temple walls
and "the holy
place" inside
the temple where
the abomination
of desolation is
to stand. So I
don't see the
Gog & Magog
war happening in
this time frame.
As for
the Gog &
Magog war (Ez.
38 & 39)
happening at the
end of the
Antichrist's
reign of 3 1/2
yrs. when Jesus
Christ returns
to Earth with
His armies which
are all on
horses (Rev.
19:11, 14) at
the battle of
Armageddon and
the Antichrist
beast and the
kings of the
earth are all on
horses (Ez.
38:4), the flesh
of horses is
mentioned as
something that
is eaten by the
fowls in the sky
along with the
flesh of men in
Ez. 39:17-20
& Rev.
19:17-18.
Also all modern
day weaponry may
have been
destroyed on
Earth during the
7 Trumpet &
7 Vial judgments
leaving the
armies in the
Gog & Magog
to arrive on
horses with the
ancient weaponry
of swords and
spears. Also
Isaiah
24:1-6,19-20
shows a pole
reversal of the
Earth with it
turned upside
down with few
men left. The
problem with
that time frame
is that the
Israelites won't
be living safely
& securely
in the land of
Israel with the
Antichrist in
Jerusalem
because the
people not
worshipping his
image will be
killed so I
don't see it
happening in
that time frame
either. Also Ez.
7:19 says, "Theyshall
cast their
silver in
the streets, and
their gold shall
be removed: their
silver and
their gold shall not be
able to
deliver them in
the day of
the wrath of
the LORD: they
shall not satisfy their
souls, neither fill their
bowels: because it
is the
stumblingblock of
their
iniquity." So
those at the
Gog &
Magog war in
Ez. 38:13 are
coming to take
a spoilfrom
the land of
Israel of
cattle, goods,
gold &
silver while
those coming
for the battle
of Armageddon
when Jesus
returns are
there to
battle against
Him & His
armies from
heaven.
The
Israelites will
be living safely
in the land
during Jesus'
1,000 year
reign, but if
the Gog &
Magog war
happened then,
and they would
be burning
weapons for 7
years on planet
Earth (Ez. 39:9)
with all the
walls that have
fallen down from
the great
earthquake that
brings them down
(Ez. 38:20).
They will not
yet be living on
the newly
created earth
that comes down
until after the
great white
throne judgment.
Does the great
white throne
judgement take 7
years while they
are burning the
weapons for 7
yrs.? And would
they all be
riding horses
during the 1,000
years to go up
to Jerusalem for
the Feast of
Tabernacles?
I guess it would
depend on if
there is anyone
left on the
other side of
the world
because they
wouldn't be able
to ride horses
from North &
South America to
get to
Jerusalem, but
Isaiah 24:6 does
say that the
inhabitants of
the Earth are
burned and few
men are
left. Ez.
39:21-22 says, "And
I will set my
glory among
the heathen, and all the
heathen shall
see my
judgment that I
have executed, and my
hand that I
have laid upon
them. So the
house of
Israel shall
know that I am
the LORD their
God from that
day forward."
It won't take
1,000 years
for Israel to
know the Lord
so I can't see
it happening
during that
time frame
either. Joel
3:17-18, "Soshall
ye know that I am the
LORD your
God dwelling in
Zion, my
holy mountain: then
shall Jerusalem be holy, and there
shall no strangers pass
through her
any
more.
And
it shall come
to pass in
that day, that
the mountains
shall
drop down new
wine, and
the hills shall
flow with
milk, and
all the
rivers of
Judah shall
flow with
waters, and
a fountain shall
come forth of
the house of
the LORD, and
shall water the
valley of
Shittim."
Micah 4:1,
"But in the
last days it
shall come to
pass, that the
mountain of
the house of
the LORD shall
be established in
the top of
the mountains, and it shall
be exalted above
the hills; and people shall
flow unto it.
And many
nations shall
come, and say,
Come and let us
go up to the
mountain of
the LORD, and
to the
house of
the God of
Jacob; and
he will teach
us of
his ways, and
we will walk in
his paths: for the
law shall
go forth of
Zion, and
the word of
the LORD from
Jerusalem. And
he shall judge among many people, and
rebuke strong nations afar
off; and
they shall
beat their
swords into
plowshares, and
their spears into
pruninghooks: nation shall not lift
up a
sword against nation, neither shall
they learn war any
more."
Jeremiah
31:31-34, "Behold, the
days come, saith the
LORD, that
I will make a new covenant with the
house of
Israel, and
with the
house of
Judah: Not according
to the
covenant that I
made with their
fathers in
the day that I
took them by
the hand to
bring them out
of the land of
Egypt; which my
covenant they brake, although
I was
an husband unto
them, saith the
LORD. But this
shall be the
covenant that
I will makewith the
house of
Israel; After those days, saith the
LORD, I
will put my
law in
their inward
parts, and write
it in their
hearts; and
will be their God, and
they shall
be my
people. And
they shall
teach no more
every man
his neighbour, and
every man his
brother, saying, Know the
LORD: for they shall all know me, from
the least of
them unto the
greatest of
them, saith the
LORD: for I
will forgive their
iniquity, and I
will remember their
sin no more."
So it looks
like Israel
and everyone
else will know
the Lord after
the battle of
Armageddon and
after the
Gog& Magog
war of Ez. 38
& 39 when
people will go
up to worship
Him in the
temple during
the millenium,
and Israel
will know if
for 1,000
years so it
doesn't look
like the
Ezekiel 38
& 39 Gog
& Magog is
the same as
the Gog-Magog
war of Rev.
20:8. So I
have come to
no final
conclusion as
to when the
Gog &
Magog war in
Ez. 38 &
39 takes
place.
