Hello John and Doves,
In this letter I looked
at Aaron's info and Dr. Awe's info on counting to Feast of
Weeks. Aaron believes Feast of Weeks is also
Pentecost. Dr. Awe believes Pentecost is 50 days
later. (I agree with this.) And I included Petr's link
with his video/count to Pentecost. But I'll look more
at Pentecost as we get closer.
Also, I included a snip
from a letter I wrote back in June 2022 - with my thoughts
on what day Ascension Day fell - a Shabbat or a Feast of the
Lord/High Holy Day.
So for now, I'm looking
at the approaching Feast of Weeks, which I believe is
Ascension Day. Looks like that date is 'around May
24'.
Aaron/God A
Minute:
This is Brother Aaron's
Pentecost/Feast of Weeks video on his "God A Minute"
Channel. He counted out 7 Sabbaths. And
determined that Pentecost/Feast of Weeks is May 24,
2026. He also talked about Enoch being born and taken
on Sivan 6. May 24 is Sivan 6 this year.
He has a hand written
card where he shows some of his Pentecost dates:
May 24, 30 AD was Pentecost. And May 24, 33 AD
was also Pentecost. According to oral tradition, King
David was born and died on Sivan 6. And according to
oral tradition, Enoch was born and taken on Sivan 6.
He is using the Torah calendar. He notes that no one
really knows the year Jesus was
crucified/resurrected.
Aaron said he can't find
another May 24 that lines up at Pentecost...at least for a
long time...next ten years ...on Torah Calendar.
run time 10:41
Others believe that
Pentecost is 50 days following Feast of Weeks - like Dr.
Barry Awe, me and a few others on Doves.
Dr. Awe:
People usually start
with Nisan 16 for their count of 7 weeks plus one day for
Feast of Weeks/Pentecost and get to Sivan 6/7.
Shavuot is
Pentecost. For his 40 days Shavuot - he starts
counting 10 days after Resurrection Day - if I understand
this correctly. He goes through the scripture.
He starts the 40 day count when Jesus is seen the third time
by them in John 21:14. This takes us to Shavuot/Feast
of Weeks. Nisan 16 plus 50 days = Shavuot. Sivan
6 or 7 - this year it's May 24. Jesus ascended on
Feast of Weeks/Shavuot to fulfill Feast of Weeks. He's
the first of the Firstfruits of the wheat. On Resurrection
Day He was the first of the Firstfruits of the barley.
I didn't see Dr. Awe
with a Pentecost date in this video. He's probably
counted it out and I missed it.
run time 37:00
So, in both of these
'counts' May 24 is Sivan 6 - Feast of Weeks/Shavuot.
But for Aaron it is Pentecost. And for Dr. Awe (and
me) it's Jesus' Ascension Day. On the Chabad calendar,
the date is May 21/22/23 (6 Sivan and 7 Sivan).
Petr/Pentecost Count:
I believe Ascension Day
is a big possibility for the Rapture. Will the day He
ascended, also be our ascension?
If Ascension Day passes,
I'll be looking at Pentecost as a high watch time...and
relooking at dates, other's calculations/thoughts,
etc.
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem!
Maranatha!

These are my thoughts on
Ascension Day being Feast of Weeks/Shavuot from June 4,
2024:
I
know that Jesus' followers were told to go to Jerusalem
and wait for the Holy Spirit. So I looked
for the location of His ascension. In Luke 24:50-51
"When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he
lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he
blessed them, He left them and was carried up into
heaven."
Then I looked up
Bethany - it's a village near Jerusalem and located on the
Mount of Olives. In Acts 1:12 "Then they returned to
Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives."
I also know that on a
Sabbath or holy convocation one is to do no work - the
Pharisees made the rule of a "Sabbath Day's Journey" -
anything further than 2,000 cubits was considered work and
no work was allowed on the weekly Sabbaths or on the holy
convocations. So, if Ascension Day took place on a
Sabbath or on a High Holy Day they had to be no further
than 2,000 cubits.
What really caught my eye was the next part of
this verse..."which is near the city (Jerusalem), a
Sabbath's day's journey away." This was
the what I was looking for to tell us if Ascension Day
was on a Sabbath or High Holy Day - and
Luke, the author of Acts, is letting the readers know
that they were following the rules of Sabbath.
"A "Sabbath's day's
journey" was a unit of distance, equal to about 2000
cubits or 1000 yards. The Jewish leaders limited
people to this distance on the Sabbath, deeming
journeying any further to be "work".
And Jesus followers on Ascension Day were
not tending to their "ordinary work"or what they would
normally attend to during a normal weekday. They
were 'free' to be with Him. And Jesus told them
to return to Jerusalem - all knowing they were safely
within the "Sabbath's Day Journey".
So this BIG clue of
being a "Sabbath's day's journey away"...tells us this
day was either a weekly Sabbath or a High Holy
Day. I strongly doubt Ascension Day was on a
Sabbath as Luke would have written that it was a
Sabbath as through out the book of Acts, Luke makes
mention of the Sabbath many times (such as in Acts
13:44, Acts 16:13, Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4, Acts
20:7) Yet nowhere in Acts does Luke mention a
"Sabbath's Day Journey", except i n Acts 1, on
Ascension Day and he does not write that Ascension Day
was on a weekly Sabbath.
This strongly
suggests that Ascension Day was not on a weekly Sabbath,
but it was on a High Holy Day - a holy convocation -
they shall do no work, thus Luke telling his readers that
the people had not broken the law of "thou shalt do no
work".
The next High Holy Day
to be fulfilled by Jesus was....Feast of
Harvest/Weeks/Shavuot!
