Voyager 1 is now the furthest man made object from earth in space. The James Webb space telescope orbiting earth has discovered many planets orbiting stars in our vicinity in our Milky Way Galaxy. Some are orbiting their stars at the proper distance (not too hot nor too cold) to harbor life. Are we humans the only intelligent life in God's universe? The odds would seem to be against this. I have never ever heard a pastor address this issue, and likely because it would be too controversial. But could there be life out there somewhere, either lower forms of life or intelligent life? And what might such intelligent critters look like? Like us, or something totally bizarre like in a science fiction movie? Here on earth if we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are promised eternal life. What about elsewhere in the universe?
God's universe is immense, far beyond our comprehension! There are millions of stars in our galaxy, and there are many, many galaxies! And we are the only intelligent life in the universe living on our little planet earth? That almost seems incomprehensible! What if a space faring civilization finds Voyager 1? Would they contact us? Perhaps we might get some answers soon, as we are now approaching the Rapture of the Church, and perhaps after that God will give us some answers to these questions.
