"an earlier destruction of Mystery, Babylon?"

If the things described in Revelation chapters 6 through 19, are not strictly all chronological, then what about the timing of the destruction of Mystery, Babylon?
The kings of the earth are brought to Armageddon in chapter 16:

Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Then in chapters 17 and 18, Mystery, Babylon is destroyed:

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Yet, it says that Mystery, Babylon reigns over the kings of the earth:

Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

How are the kings of the earth still reigned over by Mystery, Babylon, in chapter 17, when they are previously fighting at Armageddon, in chapter 16?
In chapter 16, the kings of the earth are fighting in the battle of Armageddon, yet in chapter 18, they are still lamenting Mystery, Babylon?

Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Is it possible, then, that the destruction of Mystery, Babylon, occurs before the battle of Armageddon?
The destruction of Mystery, Babylon, who reigns over the kings of the earth, would then free up those kings, to no longer be under her, to then be gathered to Armageddon?
Could the destruction of Mystery, Babylon possibly, then occur before the other events in chapter 16, the vials of wrath?
What about during, or before the trumpet judgments?
What about during, or even before the seal judgments.
I thought I remember, some months back, Chance mentioning the possibility of Mystery, Babylon being destroyed at the beginning of the tribulation.
Chance, if you read this, and I'm wrong about you mentioning this, I am very, very sorry.
But if you did mention it, then it really helps explain a lot of things for me.

For those who consider Mystery, Babylon to be the vatican, if it is suddenly destroyed by fire, it is one of two main steps of the muslims - destroy the vatican & retake Jerusalem.
If the vatican is suddenly destroyed by fire, many of the countries of Europe may quickly succumb to the sudden assault of radical islam within their own countries.
Shortly, then, both legs of the ancient Roman empire would be muslim.
Then, they would turn their attention and force to take back Jerusalem.

But, for those who consider that Mystery, Babylon may possibly be the U.S., it would offer some other explanations.
One, if the blessed hope happens first, and the Christians leave for heaven, then there will be no Christians left in the U.S. to be also consumed in this fiery judgment.
Then, with the U.S. out of the way, completely, there would be no real earthly resistance to the nations, along with Gog of Magog, coming against Israel.
Also, then, during the tribulation, there would be no earthly resistance to the nations of the world preparing for, and finally coming to, the battle of Armageddon.

Anyway, an earlier destruction of Mystery, Babylon, opens up some possibilities that I hadn't seen before.
