"Pentecost with the 9th of Av"

I want to share something here that "I think" the Holy Spirit revealed to me about tying Pentecost, when union with God through the Holy Spirit became available to all who embrace Jesus, together with the 9th/10th of Av.  A date was not only when the Jews had two temples removed from them but also was the original date God wanted the Children of Israel to begin entering the promise land in Numbers 13-14.

In a nutshell, what I am going to present is that these two events "line up" on the same date of the year this year.  On the anniversary of the Feast that the Holy Spirit came will be when we also will all be gone.  And, additionally, on the anniversary of when Israel "loses temples", we as a "third temple" will also be removed from them.  And also, on the anniversary of when Israel was supposed to go into their promised land, that this year it will be us who will go into our promised land.

I presume this is the year because Israel is now "77 years old" (see my prior post here: https://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2025/douglash46-2.htm).

What I am going to try to explain centers on how I apply God's instruction to count Pentecost's "7 Sabbaths plus 50 days" in light of the fact that the Jews of today have given us a bit of a conundrum.  They use a calendar where the weeks are per the Gregorian calendar.  God is going to use this along with His Biblical instructions.  On the surface it sounds invalid but I ask that you bear with me.

In Leviticus 23:15 God describes the 7 Sabbaths as "complete".  The Hebrew word is Strong's 8549, Tamim.  It means complete, whole, perfect, blameless, without blemish.  Interesting word to describe a Sabbath week on the calendar.

Prior, I assumed only that this meant 7 full Sabbath weeks.  Simple.  Makes for 49 days straight on the calendar.  Add the additional 50 and you end up with a count of 99 days.

I have come to see that I was overlooking one detail in God's instruction and so the combination of 7 Sabbaths with the 50 days ends up being different than a simple count of 99 days.  Otherwise, why not just say, "count 99 days beginning on the first day of the week after Passover."

Insight from the Spirit: Perfect Sabbath weeks are not to include New Moon days!

New Moon days are different "animals" and are distinct from Sabbaths (see Colossians 1:16) They have their own set of sacrifices (see Ezekiel 46:6+7), are to be a time of rest (see Amos 8:5), and are to also be announced with a trumpet (see Numbers 10:10).  New Moon days and Sabbaths are distinct from one another throughout the Scriptures.

So, I am to count the "perfect" Sabbath weeks in a way that are not including New Moon days.  This is why the word Tamim is very significant and I never saw this prior.

During the time of Moses, this distinction is not that big of a deal in terms of altering where Pentecost lands.  Each month I believe had 30 days.  You see a clue for this in the account of the flood were 150 days are counted between the 17th day of Noah's 2nd month and ends as the ark rests on Mt Arafat on Noah's 17th day of his 7th month.  Five months equals 150 days.  So, during Moses' time each month had 4 complete Sabbaths after a New moon day.  After the 4 complete Sabbaths was a dark day leading up to the next New Moon day.  So, back then you have about 103 or so actual days verses just the 99.

However, we have a challenge living in 2025.  We are on the other side of 701 B.C., which according to Chuck Missler was when calendars around the world changed from following a 360 day year to a 365.25 day year, with 29.5 days for a lunar month verses 30 days.  I think we can thank our buddy King Hezekiah for the "shadow going back 10 steps" sign he requested of God via Isaiah.  (It was likely caused by a high-gravitational, space object "catalyst" passing through out solar system that ultimately brought about the change. The ultimate miracle was the timing of it.  If you have ever had to pass a ball to a moving teammate in sports, you can appreciate a little what God accomplished back then.)

All of us who have been wrestling with trying to understand and account for God's calendar during these last days appreciate the difficult challenge presented by that 701 B.C. event.

Now, it is my understanding that those Jews today who follow the popular Jewish calendar acknowledge it is not accurate, but they will not alter it until Messiah comes (or perhaps Elijah).   I get it, yet I have not been satisfied to be passive in that regard.  Like many of you, the Holy Spirit has pressed me to wrestle with calendar mystery.

Years ago in my trying to figure out what calendar God wanted me to reckon prophetic days by, in my real frustration, God affirmed to me that it is not a problem for Him, and that even if on a particular date the Jews are wrong, He will dovetail the meaning/significance of that date on their version of the calendar with His correct calendar, fulfilling two dates/meanings/aspects at the same time (our God does not break a sweat.)

So, that is what I think I am to do with determining Pentecost today per allowing for New Moon days.  I have to keep two calendars before me as I watch for Jesus.  One is a Biblically correct calendar, and the other is what the Jews of today use.  God will dovetail both.  And He is dove-tailing Pentecost with . . . the 9th/10th of Av on the Jewish popular calendar.  He is able to do this with Pentecost because Pentecost is not specified as falling on a specific date of the year.  He is mind blowing in His details.

Let me show you this.

But first I have to explain one more thing.  Part of understanding how God dovetails dates is that I am NOT to automatically negate what the Jews of today are presenting on their calendar just because I sincerely think they are wrong.  Leviticus 23:1 clearly expresses that God gave Israel the responsibility for declaring His Feasts and thus the calendar as well.  God does not take kindly to someone trying to usurp the responsibility given to another.  Case in point?  Korah's rebellion when the earth opened and swallowed that group alive, closing back over them.  As a positive example, think in terms of David choosing not to kill Saul in the cave even though David was God's anointed one to replace Saul and also because Saul was absolutely failing in his role before God.  Saul was trying to kill God's anointed one.  You can't get worse than that.

So, in my trying to learn of God's true calendar, I am to keep Israel's calendar in view because God gave them the responsibility, even though they are in error.  He is going to use it in some way anyhow.  It is His Glory to do so.

I believe that over the centuries God has clued us into this approach by all of the times Israel experienced differing judgments on the 9th/10th of Av per their calendar.  He is still "using" their calendar determination in some ways.  God actually communicates with Israel through this.  It matters.

So, how do I take the above into account in determining the timing of Pentecost this year assuming that I do not include "weeks" that have a New Moon day(s)?

I have to include the fact that the Jews of today use Gregorian calendar weeks though their days start and end at sunset.  Now, how do I do so?

This year Passover per the Jewish calendar landed on a Sabbath day, April 11/12.  So, the Feast of First Fruits was the very next day, the 1st day of a week.  I then count as follows:

Week 1 April 13-19
Week 2 April 20-26
(New Moon in this week, April 27-May 3)
Week 3 May 4-10
Week 4 May 11-17
Week 5 May 18-24
(New Moon in this week, May 25-31)
Week 6 June 1-7
Week 7 June 8-14

I then add 50 days and I come to . . . August 3rd, the 9th/10th of Av.

I am thinking God is dove-tailing Pentecost this way with the day Jews already lost two temples, and so they will have a third temple (us) removed from them on the same date.  Along with this third temple (us) removed, the Jews will not longer have the Holy Spirit fulfilling the role of Restrainer on the earth.

Noah released the raven and the dove on the 10th/11th day of his 11th month, which is the VERY NEXT DAY after the 9th/10th of Av on the Jewish calendar.  I believe the raven represents the releasing of the first seal's evil-spirit-being that will bring about the kingdom of antichrist (Revelation 6:1,2).  Some teach that the rider on the white horse is Jesus.  I do not think that is valid.  Jesus is breaking seals.  And no angle of God is going to command the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to "Come" with a voice of thunder.

Now, will we have to wait until August 3rd?  I am thinking Jesus still has not fulfilled the 40 (+3?) days sign of Jonah to Ninevah, the only (in your face) sign a wicked and adulterous generation will be given.  So, thinking out of the box here, if I back up 43 days from August 3rd, I land on June 21st.  On June 20/21, the sun is right above the raised club of Orion.  Perhaps Orion is a picture (type/shadow) of Gideon raising his torch after breaking the vessels of clay (us getting new bodies?), raising a lit torch to heaven (our new bodies now manifesting the fullness of the Holy Spirit who came upon Jesus' 120 followers as "fire") and blasting a trumpet with 300 (how long did Enoch walk with God before God took him?).

So, I am thinking there will be a 40 day window (perhaps with another 3 days of darkness connected? since Jonah's sign could include this?) where all of us might be taken home at the beginning of the 40 (like Jesus when He ascended the first time right after His resurrection?), and then some will come right back with Jesus (like Jesus did after His first ascension?) for His Jonah-sign-warning of the judgment ultimately coming on August 3rd.  This will match what Jesus did after His resurrection in terms of the 40 days after 3 days of darkness that His disciples and followers initially experienced after He was crucified.

I believe Moses came down from Mt Sinai after his first set of 40 days on Pentecost.  In his time I had figured prior that it was about the 1st day of the 5th month. That is when he smashed two stone tablets because the people had rejected the offered covenant.  Might August 3rd be when "He who is without sin" cast the first (of more than one?) stone on those of the earth (likely asteroids?), who have rejected the covenant He had offered in His sacrificial death, the adulterous generation?

If you read Deuteronomy 9 through 10:4 you see that Moses spent three sets of 40 days on the Mountain, not two.  What did he do during that second set of 40 days right after Pentecost, 40 days after he cast the stones?  He interceded for Israel that God would have mercy on His chosen people.  Now look at Joel 2:15-17.  Might that be us in heavenly places? after we go home on Pentecost?

Those 40 days leading up to Pentecost might also be when many people who are of Jesus' chosen sheep, whom He will not lose (John 6:39), who had not yet, up to that time, embraced the gospel, yet have loved the world instead, with its lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life (like Eve in Genesis 3:6), that they will then repent during the 40 day warning window.  Perhaps they will witness folks getting raptured and like what Elisha experienced when he witnessed Elijah gettting raptured, be given the Spirit similar to Paul's experience "on the road to Damascus" where he initially had to endure three days of darkness before the prophet, named Ananias, whose name means "Grace", came and restored Paul's sight.  Might some of us get to come back down with Jesus during that 40 days and embody grace to those blind in their sins yet had experienced a type of exposure to Jesus that let them know to what extreme they were wrong in how they had been living?

Just like Eve had to wait an additional 40 days after Adam went into the presence of God in the Garden (like the non-canonical Book of the Jubilees chapter 3:8,9 indicates), so also this second group will have to wait 40 days before also going to heaven to be with us.  In other words, there is an Adam group within the Body of Christ and there is an Eve group as well.  In the same way the first Adam was split into a masculine Adam and a feminine Eve, so to Jesus' will have an Adam and an Eve that come out of Him, the Second Man and the Last Adam, though His side was opened almost 2000 years ago.

Finally, like the strong man (Samson), filled with the Spirit of God (though in his last day), brought down the pillars to bring judgment on the 3000 unbelievers in God, might another strong man, Jesus, remove the pillars of His body of Believers on a future Pentecost, with the timing of the event matching the 3000 saved in Acts 2?  The word "pillar" in the Hebrew gematria has a value of 120.  How many times in the scriptures has the number 120 marked the end of a time?  Think here of how many years God granted before the judgment of flood waters began, of how many years old was Moses when God brought his earthlifetime to a close, of how many talents the Queen of Sheba gave Solomon after being with him face to face, of how many animals God's heart thought in terms of when it seemed judgment was about to descend on the people of Ninevah during the time of Jonah, of how many followers of Jesus were waiting before the Holy Spirit finally came upon them.   With all of the 120's, does this not point to an ending of a time with a "last day" (see John 6) and this time as in Pentecost? along with a 9th/10th of Av?  A "last day" when a time is brought to a close is also back to back with a "first day", when we will all be face to face with Jesus.

Take the above to God.

God bless you.
