In this letter I wrote about
General Wickert's assessment of the Chinese threat. He
was giving a "briefing to community leaders at Antelope
Valley College". This is on a Youtube video.
Very sobering. He
spent some time talking about how the Chinese are in all of
our critical infrastructure and we can't get them out.
He mainly talked about how
the CCP is massively preparing for war with the U.S.
General Wickert said that
the coming war with China taking Taiwan will come to the
U.S. - that war will be fought here on American
soil. He said the first sign that China has moved
on Taiwan will be the lights going out here.

Russia's 2025 Victory Day military parade - and Xi was
sitting right next to Putin.
General Wickert's
Briefing, My Notes:
Brigadier General Douglas P.
Wickert gave a talk on how China is preparing for war with
the United States. This is a very recent talk...last
month, April.
General Wickert said that
the B-21 is preventing WW3. He showed satellite
pictures of Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave
Dessert. China has a version of the Edwards Air Force
Base in the Gobi Desert = Dingxin, People's Liberation Army
Air Force Base. Our air base is the biggest in
the world. However, the Chinese are modernizing and
growing at a staggering pace.
They are actively preparing
for something.
It's clear what China's
targets are:
China has a model of the
Taiwan international airport.
Deep in the Gobi desert the
Chinese have targets shaped like U.S. aircraft carriers,
frigates, destroyers. They have railroad tracks
showing missile tracking to targets.
It's clear what their intent
is. They are modernizing at a staggering pace and they
aren't hiding this. The scale of China's military
growth is greater than the Soviet Union's during the Cold
War.
Back during the Cold War we
could not match the Soviets in land forces, we invested in
technology to counter the strength and number of the
Soviets. Stealth, GPS, precision weapons, etc.
The Soviets couldn't keep up with our technology so the Cold
War ended.
The difference now is People
Liberation Army is now a 'peer' adversary. Their
technology rivals ours.
Chairman Xi, who has an
authoritarian dictatorship, ordered the PLA to prepare for
an armed unification of Taiwan. In 2013 he wanted a
modern military. Then in 2019 he said he wanted a goal
of unification by 2035, then he moved the date to 2032, now
he says 2027 - the latest year. The growth China has
made to that goal is staggering.
Taiwan was
independent. It has spent more time under Japanese
control than Chinese control. It was part of the
negotiated treaty of Japan with China at the end of
WW2. This is not a reunification with China, it's a
forced reunification with China.
China has 230 times the
capacity of shipbuilding compared to the U.S. One
shipyard in China in 2024 built more tonnage of ships than
the U.S. since WW2. We do not have that technology gap with
China like we did with Russia during the Cold War. In
January China designed/launched a stealth frigate. The
Straits of Taiwan are very shallow. These frigates are
anti-submarine ships and China has the ability to make many
of these.
In comparing forces over
there, China far outnumbers the U.S. in all aspects of Air
Force and Navy. We are vastly outnumbered by the PLA.
He shows a chart showing the buildup of Fifth Generation war
ships, hypersonic missiles etc from 2025 to a projected 2027
and the buildup of force, specifically to resist the U.S
military, is astounding.
In 2024, China had the
largest naval operation in December since WW2 - the island
of Taiwan was completely encircled. We announce big
operations years in advance. China did this without
the world knowing - it looked like it was THE
invasion. They just showed up and surrounded
Taiwan. Over 100 naval ships.
And just last month, China
put three war ships between Australia and New Zealand and
started live fire exercises. They told Australia when they
started firing. Commercial flights had to be rerouted
in the air. No early warning for this exercise.
Then the ships left and returned to China after going all
the way around Australia - sending a very, very deliberate
message.
So how will all of this
affect the US? 95% of the advanced microchips are made in
Taiwan. We are in the process of making those
here. We are denying the export controls on advanced
microchips to China. Do you think Chi would have any
trouble taking Taiwan now?
The PLA is not only
massively building up their military - staggering increase
in their navy, air force, rocket force, hypersonic
missiles, they are targeting our critical
infrastructure.
There is Chinese malware in
our electrical and communications systems. The
first sign that Taiwan has been invaded by China is the
lights will go out here. The cell phone
network would be down too. They are in all of our
critical infrastructure. They have more cyber
operators (hackers) than all of the world combined.
The U.S. names these cyber
attacks as Typhoon, dust storm, blizzard operations:
Typhoons are attacks that come from China. Dust storms
are attacks that come from Iran. Blizzards are
attacks that come from Russia.
Bolt Typhoon is Chinese
malware in our critical infrastructure: water,
electrical, communications, oil, air traffic control.
We know they are there and we can't get them out.
We've known about this since about 2018/2019
Salt Typhoon has been going
on since 2021 - this is 9 telecom companies - Chinese have
access to their servers and all phones. Including
government phones, candidate Trump's phone records, VP
Harris phone records, candidate VP Vance phone
records... We know this and we know the Chinese are
still in the system - advanced persistent incursions.
China is very adept at doing this.
The newest is Volt Typhoon
where China is targeting our cloud services.
He calls Xi, Chairman Xi
because he was not elected. We do not have a problem
with the Chinese people. Xi wants to be the sole
superpower of the world. We are trying to change Xi
/CCP.
He presented two books
"Danger Zone: The Coming Conflict with China" and "The
Avoidable War."
If this war happens - it's
going to come to us. The war will happen here.
It won't be just over there in Taiwan.
He is optimistic 'if you
want peace, prepare for war'. We are preparing for war right
now. We have to be strong enough and prepared enough
to change Xi's mind about starting WW3 today.

And in this video, Russia is
celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the end of the Great
Patriotic War in 1945 and Chairman Xi was sitting right
beside President Putin. There was even a North Korean
military presence in the parade.

When Gen. Wickert talked
about Xi upping the attack year on Taiwan to 2027 and then
explained how they are massively accelerating production of
war equipment...I wondered if 2027 might be changed to 2026
or 2025.
