What is 'not many days' to a Jewish person in Jesus' day? No idea. What is 'a few days'? No idea.Could it be a Jewish idiom? The people knew what Jesus meant."Pollas" in Greek means "many" or "a lot" - what's "a lot"? 100 days? "Not alot"? 50 days? "A lot"? One month? "Not alot"? Seven days? No idea. That's why I wrote, it "could be 50 days". It's possible.Jesus was referring to the next Feast day that the Jews celebrated. But which Feast? That's where people differ - like Dr. Awe, Luis Vega, myself.....I believe Jesus ascended on Feast of Weeks/Shavuot, fulfilling that Feast Himself - the next feast to be fulfilled by Him would then be Feast of New Wine (a firstfruits feast).Acts 2:1 just says that the day of Pentecost had arrived...doesn't say how long they had been waiting in Jerusalem.As for Ascension Day/Feast of Weeks/Shavuot being 50 days before Pentecost...there are a lot of really good points made about that being actually the case. One is the new wine. No new wine in late May/early June. That's a pretty big detail. And the new wine firstfruits had to be presented to God in the Temple before the people could drink the new wine. I've covered other points in my letters over the last few years.
