Professional wrestler-turned-actor at the time Rowdy Roddy Piper is a day laborer who comes across glasses that allow him to see subliminal messages. It feels very similar to Orwell's 1984 talking about the near future. I'll put links to two clips. The first shows Roddy putting on the glasses and seeing the hidden messages as well as a different breed of humans mixed in with normal humans. One of the abnormal speaks into what looks like a smartwatch saying "I've got one that can see!"
The second link I will provide talks about the year 2025 and the elite controlling the world. Very strange given current events.
