I recently heard someone, on a podcast, who had been asked a question about horses, give three answers. He was asked about the following scripture:
Ezekiel 38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
He was asked about what does it mean, "all of them riding upon horses"?He gave some possibilities, and I think these may have been those possibilities (but maybe I'm ad libbing a smidge):
1. That Ezekiel 38-39 describe events fulfilled at two different times, similar to dual fulfillment. That parts are fulfilled prior to the second advent, and parts fulfilled at the end of the thousand kingdom. That perhaps there won't be internal combustion engines, or electricity, powering vehicles in the thousand year kingdom. So, that in the final assault, also described in Revelation 20, they come against the camp of the saints, on horses.2. That the term, horses, is being used metaphorically, to describe futuristic military vehicles.3. That at the blessed hope, Jesus comes for us with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God.But for the world it may be like a super, gigantic EMP, leaving the world without electricity, and fried wires, going into the tribulation. So that the armies coming against Israel, for some time after that, would need to come by horseback.
That 3rd one, I've never heard before, but it is a wild thought, to say the least.
