"Thou art not 50 years old..?"

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. John 8:56-58

Does anyone know why the response to Jesus mentioned a future point of being 50, when Abraham lived long before Jesus?

I have a theory, but not positive.Jesus's day, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, will come "After 6 Days" or 6k years. The transfiguration happened "After 6 days" as well.

Genesis 6:3 – Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”

6,000 years is 120 50-year Jubilees, so it's possibly talking about that. Anyone else have a take on this subject?
