From the "parable of the fig tree" in the Bible, we are the "generation" (from Israel's establishment as a nation in 1948) to see all end time events come to pass!   Ahead, and how much ahead we do not know, lies the Rapture and subsequent 7 year Tribulation Period culminating with the Second Coming of Israel's long-rejected Messiah, Who is Christ!
