"Ascension Days: The
Conclusion of the Ascending Omer Count"
The Counting of the Omer (a measure of barley) is a minor
commandment in the Torah, yet rich in meaning. A process and
period of ASCENDING, it is a daily COUNT UP, not count down,
until Day 50 Shavuot (Pentecost). The Feast of Weeks is at 7
weeks plus 1 day. For example, Day 44 is 6 Weeks and 2 Days of
the Omer. The Daily Ascending, Counting Up, is intended to
foster greater appreciation and enthusiasm about the gradual
sure nearness of Appointed Time #4, the Midst of the Menorah
of the 7 Lamps. Going to Messiah's Lamp #4, continuity is
enhanced, from Passover until the wheat harvest for Israel
symbolically begins at Shavuot (Pentecost). Only on Day 50 is
the barley season for Israel symbolically and technically
complete. The Messiah is associated with the Head, the First
of the harvest, the barley First Fruits. His Body is the
symbolic Remainder of the barley harvest. Might He return for
the Ascending Body on Feast # 4 of Shavuot (Pentecost)? Or 3
days before, to create 3 days of Preparation? As was done in
the Times of Moses. before the First Shavuot of many signs and
wonders? Shavuot will be 5-25 to 26 according to the Torah
Calendar. Blessed be the current period of 50 Days, of a
process of Spiritual Ascending, in the Counting of the Omer!
Ascension Days!
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
