"famine?"

(Jesus said that there will be famines in diverse places, along with earthquakes and pestilences, which would be only the "beginning" of sorrows:)

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

(However, can there not also be famines before the tribulation?
Were there not some famines over the years of the church age, already?
Many people are warning that the compounded effects of war, weather, fires, and animal diseases, could lead to a worldwide famine, as soon as next year.
It wouldn't be the first worldwide famine, though:)

Genesis 51:56 And the famine was over all the face of the earth:

(If famine does come next year, and if the blessed hope happens first, then that famine could be one of those beginnings of sorrows.
Although, if famine comes next year, and the blessed hope hasn't happened yet by then, then we would likely be here during the famine.
If so, then what kinds of intense things could we possibly witness?
What were the children of Israel warned that they would witness?)

Leviticus 26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

Deuteronomy 28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57a And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness,

(That must have been so horrible to hear, but it was no doubt also horrible to witness when it came:)

II Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass’s head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.
28 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.

(Could things like that happen in places like Europe, the US, or in the great cities of Asia?
Could famine come upon us so rapidly, that our nations will not be anywhere near prepared to prevent mass starvation?
Even though the destruction of Mystery, Babylon, is something later, at the end of the tribulation, it still shows, by example, a scenario to consider.
Up until things hit, she will be living deliciously, wealthy, and apparently untouched by the problems in other parts of the world.
But then suddenly:)

Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

(So, could famine, or possibly judgment, come upon Europe, the US, or the great cities of Asia, before the tribulation, and before the blessed hope?
If so, will we be able to trust the LORD during that time?)

Psalm 33:19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Psalms 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Proverbs 10:3a The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish:

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
