Days of the Gentiles and the Days of Vengeance of our Lord
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Luke 20:24
Understanding when the times of the Gentiles was fulfilled along with its significance is the foundation for understanding many prophecies for our current and troubling times.
On Av 9, 3830 on the Hebrew Calendar, August 4, 70 AD on the Julian Calendar Jerusalem fell and the temple burned. Inhabitants fell by the edge of the sword and were led away captive into all nations. Jerusalem was trodden down by the Gentiles from then until Iyyar 28, 5727 on the Hebrew Calendar, May 25, 1967 on the Julian Calendar, June 7, 1967 on the Gregorian Calendar. On this latter date much of modern prophecy fulfillment pivots.
The Jewish historian Josephus records Jesus Christ being crucified 40 years prior to the destruction of Jerusalem. This would put that date in 30 AD. From the Bible we know Jesus died on Abib 14, also called Nisan 14, around 3 pm, the 9th hour of daylight. Passover would start at sunset. To be exact, this was Abib 14, 3790, April 5, 30 AD Julian, a Wednesday as can be confirmed in the calendar converter link below. Jesus was 3 days and 3 nights in the grave. Passover, Nisan 15 was a High Sabbath, Thursday. A High Sabbath will never fall on a Friday or a Sunday to prevent two days of rest in a row when food would have to be prepared for the Sabbath beforehand.

The period of the ministry of Jesus is generally taken as 3 ˝ years. That brings us back to around Tishri 14, 3786. It is recorded Jesus was around 30 when he began his ministry and Jewish tradition has a qualification of at least 30 to be a priest.
Some traditions state that at this time, age was counted at 1 from birth either to include gestation, as is still the practice among some, or because the concept of counting from 0 would not occur till centuries later. Counting back 29 years brings one to around Tishri 14, 3757 which is September 15, 5 BC Julian. There is no year zero in the Julian Calendar as they did not count starting at zero. One 1 BC began one year before 1 AD.
Bookending with other known events we have March-April 4 BC for the death of Herod around an eclipse, Caesar Augustus calling for a census in 6 BC, and known multiple conjunctions of planets in constellations being linked to the sign of the Magi in 7 BC. We have 2 years that Herod went back in age to kill babies based on the timing of this sign told him by the Magi taking us back to 7 BC.
All this to get to the fulfillment of Hosea 6:2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 6:2
The Jewish people were under Gentile rule since the time of the Babylonians. Then they were dispersed to the nations. They were revived after 2 days, where a day is a thousand years. They did not perish. Their nation was born in a day in 1948. Jerusalem was no longer trodden down by the Gentiles in a day in 1967. Jesus Christ will return first for His Bride and then possible exactly 2 days or 2000 Hebrew calendar years after He left in 30 AD. He will then reign for one day, the millennium, the thousand years of peace.
Man was given by God a 6 day, where a day is a thousand years, lease on this planet. Counting back two days of Babylonian 360-day years which is 720,000 days from June 7, 1967 brings one to Adar 14, 3756, February 22, 5 BC Julian for the conception of Jesus Christ when an egg from Mary, the betrothed of Joseph, was anointed with the living Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Hebrew/Aramaic word Messiah is Christ in the Greek and Anointed in English.
A common misconception is that Jesus did not become Christ until he was anointed by either John the Baptist (with water), God the Father (with the Holy Spirit shortly after being water baptized), or Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha, (with spikenard oil shortly before triumphantly entering Jerusalem at the start of Passion week). However, this is not what Scripture records.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 1:18
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11
Another common misconception is how to interpret Daniel’s 70 weeks. It has so much to offer. Sir Isaac Newton said in that regard, injustice is done to the scripture by adding together the 7 weeks and the 62 weeks to leave no gap. There is a gap. Apparently exactly 2 days of Babylonian 360-day years from Messiah, the anointing of the egg in Mary’s womb, to the command to restore Jerusalem on June 7, 1967. The times of the Gentiles had to be fulfilled. Let’s unpack this prophecy found in Daniel 9.
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The length of time for this prophecy is identified in verse 24 as being 70 weeks of years. Daniel had been praying about the future of his people the Jews with respect to his holy city Jerusalem as he thought the prophesied 70 years of exile should be over. He is assured that God would forgive his people 70 times 7 which would stretch to everlasting righteousness through the thousand years of peace and accomplish many things during that time.
Putting verse 25 in chronological order, which we as humans can more readily understand. As opposed to God, who outside of time can describe all events on this earth as having already happened. Pretty mind blowing.
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the:
commandment to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be threescore and two weeks: the wall shall be built again, even in troublous times.
commandment to restore Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks the street shall be built again, even in troublous times.
We can now count backward from the anointing of the Prince of Heaven, (His kingdom is not of this world), on February 22, 5 BC (Julian), 62 weeks of Babylonian 360-day years or 156,240 days which is equal to 427.77 solar years to the command given by Nehemiah as Governor of Jerusalem to build Jerusalem.
We can now count forward to the anointing of the prince of this world, (his kingdom is of this world), from June 7, 1967 (Gregorian), 7 weeks of Babylonian 360-day years or 17,640 days which is equal to 48.3 solar years from the command given by Moshe Dayan as Defense Minister of Israel to restore Jerusalem. That date was September 23, 2015.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:
Verse 26 is already in chronological order. It is also directly following verse 25 revealing that the 62 weeks occurs before the 7 weeks. After the 62 weeks. After Jesus Christ is conceived, Messiah will be circumcised. The term “cut off” literally is in reference to flesh being cut off in the act of circumcision. Messiah, to fulfill all righteousness, was circumcised expectedly 8 days after birth. The act of circumcision was not for himself because he had no need to enter a covenant relationship with God. He was God, made flesh.
and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Also, after the 62 weeks, but now 73 odd years later for the rest of the verse we have “the people of the prince that shall come”. Those people were the Romans. The prince of satan’s world to come must be a prince of a nation that came out of the Roman empire. The prince of God’s world, Jesus Christ, though used the Romans for His “Day of Vengeance” for another prophecy fulfillment. As it is written:
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; Isaiah 61:1-2
Which the part BEFORE the “day of vengeance” was fulfilled by Jesus Christ at the beginning of His earthly ministry.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Luke 4:18-21
And the part following where Jesus stopped reading mid-sentence was fulfilled in 70 AD. As it is also written:
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Luke 21:20-22
Back to Daniel, the last part of verse 26:
and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
God is telling Daniel that Jerusalem the city and the sanctuary of the temple, will again be destroyed which happened in 70 AD. God is telling Daniel that the abomination of the sanctuary and city being made yet desolate again would occur.
Some may interpret the last part of verse 26 as having the dual function of both prince’s, the one of this earth and the one of heaven. Is this also telling us the future destruction of the temple in Washington DC, the Capital, or the temple in Rome, St. Peters, or both? Both are part of the images we have of the seven headed beast of the sea in Revelation 13 and the seven headed beast in Revelation 17.
The seven heads are the seven Presidents starting at the date of the Camp David Peace Accord ending with Trump. The ten horns are the number of Popes under each President. And to be consistent with Revelation 17, the ten crowns of the Revelation 13 beast must be the Roman Catholic Church Universal which is the woman of the Revelation 17 beast.
Both beasts are the same beast but described from different angles so we will recognize much like a holographic image. We know the seven heads also represent seven mountains which the woman sits which describes both Rome and Washington DC. The ten kings are a count of popes under each head’s reign which receive no kingdom because the popes reign over the hearts and minds of people, not any physical land.
We highly suspected Trump, the seventh head, would not have a chance to be reelected, even at the same time we suspected it would be through lawless acts even more brazen than those which elected the sixth head for two terms. We have two time indicators recorded in Revelation 17, two to leave no doubt, that indicate this. The first is:
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. Revelation 17:10
Having two terms would not be in keeping with the description of “continue a short space.” The second is:
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. Revelation 17:12
Counting from Carter starting at the Camp David Accord on 9/17/1978 gives an 11 day margin that results in a ten pope count. Two popes serve during three of the President heads which have two horns instead of one. This count ends with Trump on 1/20/2021 giving a 13 day margin that results in a 42 prophetic year count before it becomes 43. The time is given in terms of the 10 popes as the time begins part way through the first head, Carter. The time given is one hour which with a day being to God as a thousand years, an hour is to God as 42 years. In other words the 42 year reign of the seven heads had to be over by 2/2/2021 so Trump could not be reelected and .

Which the length of time the eighth head that was of the sixth head whose head wound was healed will reign can be calculated with prophetic months to end by July 3, 2024. It would be easy to joke about how his head wound hasn’t healed very well if it wasn’t for the dire consequences we have seen since January 20, 2021.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. Revelation 13:3-5
But there is still another beast with two horns like a lamb which will appear and which I suspect to be Obama over another kingdom. If so, I would not expect to see him emerge till 2023 to give us seven years till 2030. If the two horns mean the same thing as on the seven headed beast then there will be two popes that reign during the same time. However, since this is a different beast and the horns of the Red China Dragon mean stand for something different it is likely these horns will signify some other office of this beasts kingdom.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. Revelation 13:11-12
Now back to Daniel’s 70 weeks.

Daniel 9:27
This verse makes sense with dual fulfillment. One with the Prince of Heaven, Jesus Christ, the other with the prince of this world. One with time being in God’s time of seven thousand years, the other with time being in Man’s time of seven years. One referring to the temple sacrifice and oblation ceasing, and the unspeakable abominations, desolation, and consuming with fire of the temple and Jerusalem in 70 AD. The other referring to similar events possibly in Rome and/or Washington DC during a future 7 year period of time.
