Revelation 9:13 And the sixth angel
sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of
the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the
sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four
angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were
prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a
year, for to slay the third part of men.
Today I want to talk about the four
angels bound in the Euphrates River. When they are
released, they will kill one third of men. The killing
is not interpreted as direct killing by them, but they
go to the kings of the earth to create disputes and
provoke wars. It can be understood that they are the
corrupt and fallen angels who control and create wars.
They have appeared in the history of the past, but
they have been bound to the Euphrates River by God.
When the end times come, God will allow them to come
out again to deceive nations and provoke wars.
As for why God bound them on the
Euphrates River, this has something to do with the
future headquarter of the Antichrist in Iraq.
According to Zechariah 5:5-11, Antichrist will
move to Shinar during the first half of seven years
tribulation. Shinar is in today’s Iraq, Antichrist
shall establish his religious headquarter there. Bible
says that Antichrist has boastful mouth, blasphemies
God and claims to be God. He shall also invade and
ravage Israel. Two-thirds of the Jews shall be killed
by him. When he does this horrible act, God shall
release the four evil angels bound in Euphrates river,
so that they will provoke, deceive nations and entice
them into a Great War. The consequence of this war is
AC's power shall be shaken, which ultimately leads to
his fall. Also, from Daniel 11:44, Micah 5:5,
God shall raise up seven shepherds and eight
principals, who are kings from the east and north of
Babylon, namely China and Russia, joined by a Eastern
Alliance, attack Antichrist and his western alliance.
These Kings of the east shall finally march their
troops to Euphrates River, which is dried up by God,
threatening Antichrist’s mystery Babylon in Iraq. This
is world war three, and one-third of the population
shall die. Concerning how long this war will
last, according to verse 15, it will be one year, one
month, and one day, not too long.
The 6th trumpet is world war three. It
should occur between the 5th and 6th year of
tribulation, after the mid-trib invasion against
Israel by Antichrist, and the subsequent attack
against Egypt and Ethiopia in the 4th and 5th year.
A note here. Some Christians believe
America or New York is the Babylon in Revelation 17
and 18. This is not true. Judging by God binding the
four angels in Euphrates river, the future world war
three has it's root from Euphrates river where
Antichrist has his headquarter from. He is the one who
creates all the controversy and eventually leads all
nations into war. If America and New York meant to be
Babylon, God could have used Columbia river or
Mississippi river to bind the four angels. But He did
not.
